Everything is new to me. The village, the people. Everything! The only one I know is my good friend Perry. But he just went elsewhere.
We just got a pub on the south market. I'm looking forward to this new and nice home. But the rooms are still empty, so I want to get some furniture for it. The market is the best place to buy things. You can get almost everything there and it is normally filled with a lot of akriri everyday. So getting some furniture shouldn't be such a big problem.
Maybe I would also meet some new akriri and become friends with them... My face got red of the nervousness. Will they like me? I, the clumsy cook Kiano, who is too shy to talk to new people? I got angry at myself, while I thought about that, when I had reached the market.

As paths crossed, Yotaka managed to almost run smack into poor Kiano. He had been checking his crystal ball to make sure it was clear. As he came to a halt his ball slipped and began to roll, he gave a quick but polite apology before hurrying after it. (Hope you don't mind me joining in )

(no I'm happy you're joining in! XD btw gonna change narrator perspective. It's easier to write with "he" than with "I " ^^)
"H-hey wait!" , Kiano called and ran after Yotaka. But his foot got stuck on a little stone and he fell on the hard ground. "uggh... ouch!" he said, when he sat up rubbing his head.

Yotaka watched as his ball rolled to a stop in a safe spot and retreated to ensure Kiano was ok, having heard his fall. He offered his hand to help him up. "Are you alright?"

Kiano blushed. "Could have been worse. thank you!" Kiano stood up with Yotaka's help. "I actually wanted to ask you something. But I think I will intruduce myself first!" he said, trying to look more self-confident. "Hello my name is Kiano and I'm new to the usa village~ What's your name? "

As he was finishing weaving together the giant hanging basket that was to be his room in the pub, Parallel looked down and saw that Kiano had tripped and was being helped up by an akriri that he vaguely recognized. Perry smiled, glad to see that Kio was meeting new folk, and put the finishing touches on his basket. He jogged inside to retrieve his traveling bag, which contained every item that he'd ever owned. Perry had always traveled and been on the road, so this was a twist for him to try and settle in a single location. It was a quiet enough town for his taste and he was high enough from the constant noise of the market that it sounded like nothing more than a quiet hum.
After placing his bag in his room, Perry ran across the bridge back into their home tree and leapt off the stairs straight down to ground level. He wanted to find out who had helped out his friend...

"I wanted to ask, if you know where I could buy furniture. I just got house 37 on the south market and want to built a pub there as well as home for me and my comrades. " he said, while staring at the crystal ball that had rolled away. "Why do you have this crystal ball by the way?" But just as he wanted to listen to the answer, he saw Perry running to him. "Hi, Perry!" Kiano shouted.

Giovanni found himself glimpsing a group of Akriri down the stone pathways of the marketplace. He'd just returned from delivering a gift to Ley and Ruhette's Fish Shop, so there was no hurry at this point in time. He would continue along with a stride, his wine-tinted eyes flickering across a particular item one of the Akriri was holding; a crystal ball? In the back of his head he was reminded of these Folks' names. Though he seldom ever spoke to any other Folk besides Lil' Roo or Evuie, he had an idea of all of the names that were carried around in the village. Out of sheer curiosity, he began to make way toward the small group of Folk, calling toward them with a friendly demeanor. Long legs helped him stride almost fluidly across the path, his talons clicking the stony surface of the land underneath their feet. "Evenin'," he'd say once he was in hearing range. He knew that at least two of those Akriri were fairly new to the village. The other--a bright, almost astoundingly blue Folk with smoky gray head feathers--he knew as Perry.

"Oh yes." He took the moment that Kiano made to say hello as a chance to retrieve what he had dropped quickly and return. It was at this time he found Giovanni was approaching them. Kindly he waved in return of the greeting.

Perry, turning the handle to his and Kio's home, exited. Kiano was standing outside talking to the tawny and brown folk that had given him a star map upon his moving to Usa. He smiled cheerily and greeted Kio, "Hey Kio~! I've got the last of our rooms woven together and strung up!" He then turned to the Akriri who's name he'd forgotten and held out his hand, "Hello again! I wanted to thank you for that star map you'd given me. I haven't had a chance to set up my telescope yet to find some new constellations, but I can't wait to use it~!"
At that same moment a voice called from the distance. He'd turned and saw another acquaintance who's name he'd not yet memorized either. He waved and in his mind he'd said to himself, 'I get the feeling that I'm going to be hanging around these guys for a while~'

Judging it was about time to get out and explore for the better and learn the ways and hows of the village, Rum decided to leave his house for once, grabbing his bag and strewing it over his back before rushing out the door and down the steep steps to the market. It appeared to be only semi-active much to his pleasure; still however he was a bit on edge since he had only caught small glances of these few Akriri upon moving in-but all the more was he willing to attempt to make new friends.
Taking a deep breath to gather his courage whilst walking closer he quickly noticed there was quite the conversation going and opting to feed his shyness he stepped back for a bit, perching on the sidelines with a nervous look on his face-he'd nag himself for being so foolish later. Maybe when everything settled down would he participate more.

Giovanni would take a few more advances toward the trio of Folk, his dusty-gray wings shifting in the light breeze that made its way through this area of the marketplace. To his satisfaction, he saw two of the Akriri wave in his general direction. "Just thought it'd be wise to come and welcome you to the village," Giovanni'd state, throwing his head back briefly in order to sling his ponytail back onto his shoulders. "Hope you guys feel at home in our little community," he'd add, his talons clicking the stony terrain underfoot. After a few brief moments, he finally managed to refresh his memory once he rested his gazes on Kiano and Parallel. "Oh yes, you two are the new pub owners, eh?" he questioned, his long tail-feathers sweeping across the floor, kicking up dust as they did so. One of his ears twitched as he would pick up the faint sounds of feet nearby. Another Folk, most likely. He'd turn his head slowly, eyes flashing in the sunlight as he spotted a figure lingering along the shadows of shops and booths. It was familiar enough to identify in a few moments; Rum. In the back of his mind he pondered on calling the fella over, but by the looks of it... he was acting rather timid. Understandable, there were a lot of Folk like this. Giovanni decided to let the situation settle, interesting in seeing if the newcomer would approach them, and turned his attention back to Kiano, Perry, and... Mm. "I'm fairly certain I'm familiar with their names," he'd start, using a wing to motion toward the two pub owners, "but I'm not quite certain who you are." Giovanni cocked his head in acknowledgement toward the other unknown Akriri, his gaze falling across the crystal ball they held in their grasp.

Kiano was kinda surprised, how much akriri came to their little group. He welcomed Giovanni and just as he wanted to talk about Perry and his new pub, he saw Rum standing a little bit away from them looking nervous. <He probably wants to join our conversation...> he thought and walked toward him. "Hello~ I'm Kiano!" he said while reaching out his hand to him. "You don't have to be afraid to join us." Kiano put on a friendly smile.

Standing in the sidelines had began to grow quite lonesome among all the activity that was going on in the market, but Rum just couldn't urge himself to move forward-and he knew some Akriri were starting to take notice of him and were probably waiting for him to join but as weak willed as he was his shyness was like a ball and chain.
Thankfully this feeling didn't last long as a little blue fellow who went by Kiano had greeted him with a smile, and in turn Rum did the same, "Ah- Hello there Kiano!" He greeted back softly, "Oh my I know I shouldn't but I can't help myself." Rum let out a nervous laugh and scratched the back of his head, "Thank you though-for coming over to say something!"
